These are awarded on the basis of academic and potential academic ability in the entrance examination and a scholarship interview to pupils entering the Senior School at Year 7. External candidates sitting the entrance examination have an equal opportunity of receiving a scholarship as current pupils moving from Junior to Senior School. Scholarship awards are for a small fixed sum per academic year and last throughout a pupil's tenure at Wykeham House. There are no subject specific scholarships.
Wykeham House also operates a means tested Bursary Scheme. This is administered by a sub-committee of Trustees, the Headmistress and Bursar who award fee remission based on the financial evidence provided and the number of applications received. There is a limited amount available each year for Bursaries.
Beer Scholarships, in memory of a former Headmistress, Miss Beer are awarded annually to pupils entering Year 10 and 11.
